We are dedicated to training the Citizens of Louisiana,
as well as Police and Security Officers.
All staff members are registered, licensed, and experienced instructors having many years of teaching experience. Each instructor must attend an Intern Program before licensed.
In 2017, Professional Security Training, Inc. was awarded the distinction as Louisiana’s first Security Training Center of Excellence through the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners.
Paul S. Graffeo
Our founder, Mr. Paul S. Graffeo, established Professional Security Training, Inc. in 1985. It is a citizen training and Vo-Tech Institution registered and licensed with the Louisiana Board of Private Security Examiners, the Louisiana State Police, Concealed Weapon Division, the New Orleans Police Department Special Officers Division, and has been training police officers, security officers, private citizens, and retired police officers for over 25 years.
In 2017, Professional Security Training, Inc. was awarded the distinction as Louisiana’s first Security Training Center of Excellence through the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners.
Mr. Graffeo retired from the New Orleans Police Department having served more than 29 years. During his tenure he taught at the New Orleans Police Academy, Loyola University, Tulane University, Nicholls State University, throughout the United States for the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and taught security officers since 1984.
Judith Goodman Graffeo
Ms. Graffeo is President and Chief Financial Officer of Professional Security Training. Her experience in the security industry spans over 30 years. From 1985-2017, she served as President and owner of Polygraphics in Metairie, Louisiana and formed strong liaisons with the legal, commercial, and law enforcement community. She is an Honorary Member of the Fraternal Order of Police and served as Chairman of the Louisiana State Polygraph Board during her tenure from 1990 to 2022.
Demi Bufkin
Ms. Bufkin is our Office Manager, conducts our clerical and state board obligations, and is the Liaison Officer for P.S.T. and our many dedicated clients.
Matthew E. Lehrmann
Mr. Lehrmann retired from the military with the rank of First Sergeant, having served for 40 years with 21 years on active duty. He is a licensed Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners classroom and firearms instructor for Professional Security Training. In addition, Matthew is a certified NRA Pistol and Shotgun instructor and a certified Louisiana State Police Concealed Handgun Instructor. He also works as a Captain in Security with the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Christopher R. Landry
Sgt. Landry started his law enforcement career in 1984 with the Orleans Levee District Police Department, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant, served as the Training Coordinator, and became the agency's first POST Firearms Instructor. In 1997, he became an officer with the New Orleans Police Department, and seven years later, he rose to the rank of Sergeant. Over the course of his career, he patrolled in the First, Second, Third, and Seventh Districts and worked numerous events in the French Quarter as a mounted officer. He spent the majority of his career at the New Orleans Police Academy, where he served as the Range Commander for more than seven years. He is currently on staff at Professional Security Training as their Louisiana POST Firearms Instructor. He conducts firearms qualifications for active officers, including retirees from Federal, State, and local Law Enforcement Agencies.
Terry M. Fourcade
Mr. Fourcade has been a staff member with Professional Security Training since 2020. He is licensed by the Louisiana Board of Private Security Examiners as a Classroom and Firearms Instructor. He is a certified NRA Pistol and Shotgun Instructor and certified by the Louisiana State Police to teach the Concealed Carry Handgun curriculum. Mr. Fourcade has a BA in Criminal Justice, Masters in Criminology, and a Ph.D in Philosophy. He served 12 years in Law Enforcement as a Patrol Officer in the States and worked oversees for 10 years as a Police Instructor in Iraq, Liberia, and Afghanistan. He has taught and developed programs in chemical weapons, narcotics identification, armorer, and data base management.
Cary A. Robinson
Cary Robinson has 30 years of Managerial Security experience in hospitality, residential, commercial, maritime, retail, and medical facility security. Cary currently manages and oversees the daily operations in the Southern Region Security Industry. In addition to his in house training and liaison with clients, he also handles instruction for secured properties in Alabama, Texas, and Shreveport, Louisiana. He brings 19 years as a Louisiana State Board Certified In-House Instructor and 8 years as an NRA Firearms Instructor. He is currently an adjunct Classroom and Firearms Instructor with Professional Security Training.
Jason Robbins
Mr. Robbins is a NRA Law Enforcement Handgun/Shotgun Instructor who also holds the Chief Range Safety Officer Certification with the NRA. In addition, Robbins is a Senior Instructor for Safariland Training Group/Defense Technology in the following disciplines: Defensive Tactics, Expandable Baton, OC, and Hiatt Handcuffing. He is also a certified Louisiana State Police Concealed Carry Handgun Instructor, and American Red Cross CPR-First Aid-AED Instructor. Robbins is a former Law Enforcement Officer, who has spent the last 17+ years as a Government Security Contractor with most of his expertise in the training of Federal Contractors. He has been in the Law Enforcement/Security Industry for over 30 years and brings a wealth of knowledge, and discipline to the classroom, mat, and range environment. Mr. Robbins is an adjunct instructor for Professional Security Training and is licensed by the Louisiana Board of Private Security Examiners as a Classroom, Expandable Baton, and Firearms Instructor.
